The resistance adheres to its conditions

In a new development in the complex and delicate negotiation process, the Palestinian resistance movement stands firm, emphasizing that the fate of Israeli prisoners will only be determined through a “real deal.” Meanwhile, Israeli voices are growing louder, calling for greater international pressure to achieve a prisoner exchange.

Zaher Jabarin, acting head of Hamas in the West Bank, declared in a television statement that the movement would not compromise without a “genuine deal,” stressing that responding to Israeli demands requires seriousness in negotiations and avoiding political maneuvers.

On the other hand, a senior source within the Palestinian resistance movement pointed out that the U.S. retreat and bias toward the Israeli position have created a crisis in the exchange negotiations. The U.S. behavior, they affirmed, will not contribute to reaching a deal but will escalate tensions.

Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister have requested their German and British counterparts to intensify pressure on the resistance movement to make progress in the prisoner exchange deal. Meanwhile, the Israeli War Council is preparing to discuss the latest developments.

In this tense context, all eyes turn to the coming days, where responses and positions are expected to determine the fate of the prisoners and the future of negotiations. The lingering question remains: Will the pressures and negotiations lead to a “real deal,” or is the road still long?
