In the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian tragedy is rapidly worsening, with innocent civilians facing unimaginable suffering. The ongoing Israeli aggression, which has lasted for 164 days, has resulted in a devastating increase in the number of Palestinian martyrs, with the death toll exceeding 31,700.

The details of the events are mind-boggling and heart-wrenching. Eight horrific massacres were documented in the last 24 hours alone, claiming the lives of 81 people and injuring 116 others. What is even more astonishing is that there are still people trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings and on the sides of roads. Rescue and medical teams are unable to reach them to save their lives and provide medical care.

But the tragedy does not stop there. Famine is engulfing the region due to the lack of essential humanitarian assistance. Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, states that Israel is creating a famine in Gaza and using hunger as a weapon in its war against innocent Palestinians. Borrell points out that thousands of people are suffering from hunger and its severe consequences, and the international community cannot remain idle in the face of this humanitarian catastrophe.

There is an urgent need to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, where over 2.4 million individuals are living in harsh conditions. The United Nations warns that the vast majority of them are at risk of famine.

It is bitter to mention that 27 innocent children have lost their lives in northern Gaza due to malnutrition and the shortage of infant formula. These innocent lives are sacrificed because basic nourishment is not being provided to them.

When we look at the current situation in Gaza, we can only describe it as no longer just an "open-air prison" but rather an open graveyard under the pressure of continuous aggression and relentless famine.
