Is Israel hastening its own demise?

Amidst Western countries' claims of their inability to deter Israel's crimes, in addition to their inability to go beyond hollow condemnation and useless denunciations, the series of Israeli assaults and violations of international law continues.

Between the Western community supporting the Israeli aggression and the entity's violations against some countries through breaches of sovereignty, security and national safety, the two race to the title of "the filthiest." The most recent was an Israeli attack targeting a residential building in the Al-Mazzeh area of Damascus, the capital, which killed a number of civilian martyrs and Iranian officers.

It seems that last Monday, when Iran targeted an Israeli Mossad base in Erbil, Iraq, it shook Israel's ego and undermined it. What the Israeli entity did yesterday was a leap forward and an attempt to expand the circle of violence in the region to cover up the defeats it suffered in Gaza at the hands of the Palestinian resistance.

Regarding Iran's response to the Israeli raid in Syria, the Syrian political analyst Dr. Kamal Jafa told Damas Platform that such conflicts led by countries do not lead to quick, random reactive responses, because it is a multifaceted, long and costly field intelligence, economic and social war for all parties. Iran's response will be painful, but in any region and at any level is for the Iranian leadership to decide.

According to Jafa, this operation and previous assassination operations do not lead to a wide-scale military flare-up, because there are more painful issues for Iran that Israel has undertaken without leading to a widespread war in the region. He stressed that there will be balanced and disciplined retaliation by Iran.

As for Israel's intentions, Jafa confirmed that the entity wants to expand the war and achieve mayhem in the situation inside the region, but with full American participation in any upcoming war. But given the American withdrawal from fighting this war, and in light of not reaching the happy endings that Israel planned during its aggression on the Gaza Strip, it does not seem that there is a specific date to achieve Israel's goals of expanding the scope of the war.

In the end, it is evident that what Israel aspires to through its repeated attacks on Syria is an attempt to paralyze the country in the current confrontation, drag it into a regional war, and try to undermine the will of the Iranian resistance that aims to combat terrorism in all its forms and types.
