Syrian director Rasha Sharbatji revealed exciting details about her personal life, including her attempts to have children and her visit to a Jewish fortune teller, while she responded to the statements of her compatriot, the distinguished artist Yasser Al-Azma. According to the Lebanese Al-Jadeed channel, Rasha Sharbatji made statements for the first time about her deprivation of motherhood, her resorting to in vitro fertilization, and her exposure to miscarriage. Rasha explained that her deprivation of motherhood did not constitute an obsession for her; Because she compensates for this with her brother’s children, whom she considers her children, and also on filming sites, “Everyone on set calls me Mama, big and small,” and she added: “The feeling of motherhood exists for me everywhere.” Regarding the possibility of having children through a surrogate mother, she did not think about it because of her constant preoccupation with work, as she sees that giving birth to a child for this life is selfish and unfair to him. Rasha responded to Yasser Al-Azma's statements in which he criticized Syrian drama, describing it as "sick" and describing those responsible for it as "merchants, ignorant, or biased." She said: When a person like Professor Yasser Al-Azma says these words, we must stop for a moment and think about why he said these words, because he was not going to say them in a vacuum, so he did not lack fame and he did not attack anyone, but rather he said them out of love, pain, and awareness. She pointed out that Syrian drama has not yet emerged from the ashes, especially after the renaissance it achieved during the time of the late director Hatem Ali.
