Amid the ongoing fuel crisis in Syria, the struggles of residents become more evident in the lives of students during the midterm exams, where they face the biting cold due to the shortage of heating oil.

Millions of students prepared for their exams in harsh conditions, dealing with the impact of the heating fuel shortage, forcing them to layer up with heavy clothing to combat the winter cold.

Despite the Ministry of Education and education directorates being prepared for the exam process efficiently, neglect persists in securing heating essentials for students. Many schools suffer from a severe shortage of heating oil due to reduced or canceled support, leading to a decrease in the distribution of heating oil for both schools and homes, given the shortage of supplies and imposed sanctions.

Despite the announcement of completing the distribution of the first batch of heating oil to a limited number of schools, questions linger about the sufficiency of these quantities to meet the students' needs and maintain suitable exam conditions. The allocated amount for each school was only 952 liters, and when divided over the remaining winter days, assuming the school has 20 classrooms, it appears that the daily share per classroom is less than one liter. This raises concerns about students surpassing the challenges of the cold.

While this current crisis casts its shadow on millions of students, making them victims of harsh weather conditions during study times, it requires an urgent and effective intervention from relevant authorities to provide the necessary fuel and ensure students' comfort during their exams. This is considered a fundamental right that every student should have during this crucial period in their academic journey.
