Egg prices have recently witnessed a noticeable decline, reaching 500 Syrian pounds per egg, as its price reached 1,500 Syrian pounds, while before the wave of decline it was 2,200 Syrian pounds.
According to the Director of Animal Production at the Ministry of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Khair Al-Laham, the production capacity in the Damascus countryside has reached about 900,000 eggs per month, compared to three facilities for producing sauce "hatcheries" located in the Al-Kiswah and Qatana regions.
Al-lahham stressed the commitment to implementing the decision related to biosafety and sterilizing vaccination and hatching devices and plastic chick boxes in hatcheries and chick transport vehicles, and not hatching hatching eggs until their source is known, and that hatching eggs be attached to the vaccination program given to the herds of mothers and grandmothers that produce hatching eggs.
Al-lahham stressed the provision of a detailed statement or document showing the source of the sauce, its type, race, and the vaccines given to it by the hatchery management, pointing to the role of technical supervisors in cooperating with the breeder to implement the issue of biosecurity under penalty of closure in the event of a violation of the content of the decision.
