The United States has not stood idly by in the face of its perceived losses and setbacks in the eyes of Western public opinion. It has taken swift actions to surpass the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and attack areas within it in an attempt to deter the resolve of the Houthi movement.
In a new escalation, US forces carried out an airstrike targeting two anti-ship missiles affiliated with the Houthi movement in Yemen, which were about to be launched towards vital waterways in the southern Red Sea.
A statement from the US Central Command explained that the strike came after locating the missiles in areas controlled by the movement, claiming that they posed a direct threat to the freedom of navigation and the safety of commercial and military ships in the region.
Simultaneously with Washington's expansion of its transgressions, the Houthi movement in Yemen continues to declare its ongoing support for the people in Palestine, reaffirming its stance against ships associated with Israel or heading to its ports.
