Imagine you are moving around your house to do some work, then you go to the kitchen to prepare a meal to quiet your rumbling stomach, when you are suddenly surprised by a bear roaming around with you and also in the fridge.
A bear was spotted breaking into several homes in Los Angeles and stealing packages of a popular cookie brand. For example, on May 24th, the bear broke into a home in the Monrovia neighborhood and left with an "Oreo" bag. Locals have nicknamed him the "Oreo Bear" because of this recurring incident.
A viral video clip shows the bear calmly breaking into a window and leaving with a blue package dangling from its mouth.
The homeowner, Vina Khoury, said she was scared to death. He was very close. This had never happened before, and the ironic part is that another bear broke into their car a week earlier to get their groceries. Khoury had also experienced another incident at her home last year when a bear entered her garage, opened the fridge, and stole a chocolate cake.
While the bear has not been marked, residents believe all the burglary operations were carried out by the same bear.
