Imagine yourself relaxing in one of America's parks after a tiring day, only to be surprised by a wild donkey approaching you! Social media users in the United States were captivated by the story of a wild donkey that was on the loose in the western part of the country after escaping from a zoo.
The wild donkey, named "Zee," was one of several animals that escaped from a trailer on the side of a road in Washington state. The owner of the animals, Kristen Kiltegan, was taking them to Montana when the donkeys made their escape as soon as the trailer was opened.
Kiltegan explained that she didn't think about keeping the animals away from the road, and it later dawned on her that she needed help. She received assistance from bullfighters and horse trainers, but they were only able to recover three of the animals.
Local animal control workers reported that several residents had spotted the wild donkey, and surveillance cameras captured images of Zee appearing to be in good health. They requested that anyone who saw the donkey should contact them.
They also advised, "Residents are urged not to approach the wild donkey or attempt to capture it."
As a result, a hiking trail in the area was closed on Friday because it is frequented by the wild donkey.
