At a time when science proves that the process of procreation only occurs through mating between a male and a female, a recent study has proven that there are some creatures capable of procreating without mating!
A study conducted by wildlife specialists concluded that some animals are able to give birth to their young without the need for mating, and this is called “virgin birth,” which is known as the process of parthenogenesis.
This process is called "obligatory reproduction," where animals reproduce without the need for mating, relying entirely on the parthenogenesis process. The female creates an embryo from an unfertilized goose egg, and the offspring is usually male or female.
According to the study, the condors, which live in the US state of California and are extremely vulnerable to extinction, can reproduce without mating.
This discovery is considered very strange because it rarely occurs in birds, especially wild species, while it is considered something that can happen in other creatures such as reptiles and fish.
