After her voice was absent from the public's ears for 40 years, to the point that many thought that she was absent from the death files, today, in an event that shocked the Arab masses, the Egyptian artist Najat Al-Saghira appears on the stage again.
The 85-year-old star appeared for the first time on stage on Saturday, during the Joy Awards ceremony in Riyadh.
The star sang a clip from one of her iconic songs, “The Eyes of the Heart,” amid warm applause from the audience and chants of “We missed you.”
From the Abu Bakr Al-Shadi Theater on the Boulevard, she received a special honor from Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, on a night full of honors for stars from the East and West, international and Arab.
The Egyptian media personality, Bossi Shalabi, had revealed the surprise of the ceremony, as she wrote on her Instagram account: “Today is the surprise of the Joy Awards ceremony in Saudi Arabia, Najat. You will see Najat Al-Saghira today.”
