Having gone crazy lately, gold is soaring in the sky and setting records.

According to the General Assembly for Goldsmithing and Jewelry Making, the selling price of one gram of 21 carat reached one million and 26 thousand Syrian pounds, while the selling price of one gram of 18 carat in the official bulletin recorded 879,429 thousand Syrian pounds.

The price of a gold lira reached 8 million and 500 thousand Syrian pounds, while the price of an ounce of 995 karat reached 36 million and 800 thousand Syrian pounds.

The Crafts Association stressed the need for all jewelers and shop owners to adhere to the official pricing.
