A fuel company has discovered 8,000 fake industrial, economic, and artisanal events that were illegally obtaining industrial gas while being inactive.

The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources stated in a press release today: "Through a qualitative campaign, data verification of events, and intensive field monitoring, the fuel company has uncovered over 8,000 fictitious events in the provinces of Damascus, Damascus countryside, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartous, Suwayda, Daraa, Quneitra, Homs, Hama, and Deir ez-Zor. Legal measures have been taken against the owners of these events and individuals involved in black market trading."

The statement further said: "Through this campaign, the operation of these events has been regulated in accordance with their actual gas requirements, ensuring fair supply to economic, industrial, and tourism sectors. Legal actions will be taken against violators."
